The Planning & Zoning Commission provides research and advice to the Village Board in the guidance of the physical development of Westmont as well as hears requests for variances in the zoning code. Commission activities include approval of subdivision plats, zoning requests, special use permits, code amendments and other matters referred to it by the Mayor and Village Board. Long-range planning is concerned with the future development of the community. This is done under the auspices of a Master Plan, which is revised from time to time by the Commission.
The Planning & Zoning Commission typically meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Village Hall, 31 W. Quincy Street.
